How to optimize ubuntu desktop experience where using optimus system offloading enabled (monitor attached nvidia gpu)?

Extreme lag on my ubuntu desktop where nvidia prime is set on-demand and monitor is attached dgpu.

My workaround is:

vblank_mode=0

or

LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1

or both in /etc/environment.

is there a definitive solution to this?
